# Account Permission: Instructor Cancel Sessions

You can assign [group permissions](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/user-group-permissions) or [account permissions](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/user-account-permissions) to a user by [editing their user profile](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/editing-a-user-manually).

The functions available to users with the Instructor Cancel Sessions account permission are detailed below.

## Course Admin

### Session Information Workscreen

On its own, the Instructor Cancel Sessions account permission does NOT grant the user permission to the Courses Dashboard or the ILT Attendance Dashboard. Refer to [Courses Dashboard](/v1/docs/courses-dashboard) and [ILT Attendance Dashboard](/v1/docs/ilt-attendance-dashboard) for details on other permissions required for access.

Users with the Instructor Cancel Sessions account permission can do the following from the Session Information workscreen:
