# Account: Proctoring Services

This feature is not enabled by default. If you're interested in using this feature, contact our [Success Desk](mailto:success@neovation.com) to have it enabled.

SmarterU enables you to integrate with video proctoring services such as [AutoProctor](https://www.autoproctor.co/) and [Integrity Advocate](https://www.integrityadvocate.com/partners/smarteru). After adding a proctoring service to your account, you can:

- Edit the proctoring service's settings by clicking the ![Pencil 20210809](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/Pencil%2020210809.png) beside it.
- Manage the proctoring service by clicking the ![Manage%20Proctoring%20Service%2020231228](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/Manage%20Proctoring%20Service%2020231228.png) beside it.
- Use the [service for proctoring quizzes in your online courses](/v1/docs/quiz-general-preferences#proctoring-service).

You’ll also be able to access your proctoring service’s administrative tools from the [Proctoring Services workscreen](/v1/docs/proctoring-services-workscreen).

When you [edit your account's settings](/v1/docs/editing-your-account-settings), the Proctoring Services accordion of the Account Profile workscreen includes the following settings.

## Adding a Proctoring Service

To add a proctoring service to your account:

1. [Edit your account settings](/v1/docs/editing-your-account-settings).
2. Expand the Proctoring Services accordion.
3. Click **Service**. The workscreen to add a new proctoring service displays.

1. Specify the [proctoring service's settings](/v1/docs/account-proctoring-services#settings).
2. Click **Save**.

## Settings

### Service

Select the proctoring service from the list.

### Status

Indicates the status of the proctoring service:

- Active - Active proctoring services are available for online courses.
- Inactive - Inactive proctoring services are not available for online courses.

### Name

The name of the proctoring service.

### Description

A description of the proctoring service.

### Application ID

This setting is only applicable if the [**Service setting**](/v1/docs/account-proctoring-services#service) is set to *Integrity Advocate*. The ID of your proctoring service.

### Client ID

This setting is only applicable if the [**Service setting**](/v1/docs/account-proctoring-services#service) is set to *AutoProctor*. The [client ID of your proctoring service](https://www.autoproctor.co/developers/docs/background/keypair).

### API Key

This setting is only applicable if the [**Service setting**](/v1/docs/account-proctoring-services#service) is set to *Integrity Advocate*. The API key of your proctoring service.

### Client Secret

This setting is only applicable if the [**Service setting**](/v1/docs/account-proctoring-services#service) is set to *AutoProctor*. The [password to authenticate your proctoring service](https://www.autoproctor.co/developers/docs/background/keypair).

### Learner Notification Fallback Email

If the video proctoring fails, an email will be sent to the [email address specified for the user](/v1/docs/user-login-information#send-email-to). However, if the user's emails are sent to multiple email addresses, the email detailing the failed video proctoring will be sent to this address instead. This is the case when a user's emails are sent to their supervisor and they have [multiple supervisors](/v1/docs/user-profile-information#supervisors).
