# Action Settings and Status Changes

When an action's status changes is dependent on the [**Visible to Learners**](/v1/docs/action-main#visible-to-learners) and [**Requires Confirmation**](/v1/docs/action-confirmation#requires-confirmation) settings.

| Visible to Learners | Requires Confirmation | Status |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Yes | Yes | The learner can view the action in the learner interface. When learner submits the action, the action's status is set to *Confirmation Pending*. The [**Allow Learner Attachments** setting](/v1/docs/action-main#allow-learner-attachments) determines if the learner is required to upload an attachment with the action. One of the users selected in the [**Requires Confirmation By** setting](/v1/docs/action-confirmation#requires-confirmation-by) must confirm the action in order for its status to be set to *Accepted*. The [**Allow Confirmation Attachments** setting](/v1/docs/action-confirmation#allow-confirmation-attachments) determines if this user is required to upload an attachment when they confirm the action. |
