# Adding a Certification

To add a [certification](/v1/docs/certifications):

1. From the Admin menu, select **Account Admin.**
2. Select **Learning Plans**. The [Learning Plans Dashboard](/v1/docs/learning-plans-dashboard) displays.
3. Click **Certification**.

A new tab displays the Add/Edit Certification workscreen.

1. Specify the certification's settings in the following accordions:

- [Main](/v1/docs/certification-main)
- [Notifications](/v1/docs/certification-notifications)
- [Licensing](/v1/docs/certification-licensing)

1. Click **Save**.

You can now [assign requirements to the certification](/v1/docs/assigning-requirements-to-a-certification).
