# Adding a Course Calendar Page

A course calendar page lets learners view courses by month, week, or day. The courses displayed will depend on a variety of settings including the [course states](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#include-course-states) and [course types](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#include-course-types) that are specified for the page.

To add a course calendar page to a dashboard set:

1. [Add a page](/v1/docs/adding-a-page) to one of your categories.
2. From the Add/Edit Category Page workscreen:
  1. Expand the Main Settings accordion.
  2. From the [**Type** list](/v1/docs/page-main#type), select *Course*.
  3. Expand the Configuration accordion.
  4. For the [**Available Layouts** setting](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#available-layouts), be sure that *Calendar* is checked.
  5. For the [**Default Layout** setting](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#default-layout), select *Calendar*.
  6. Click **Save**.
