# Adding a Course Catalog

A course catalog displays a page in the [learner interface](/v1/docs/learner-interface-enrolling-in-courses) with the courses that have their [**Self-Enroll** setting](/v1/docs/group-courses#self) checked.

As with any course page, you can control the [layouts](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#settings-layout-options), [course visibility options](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#settings-course-visibility-options), [tag options](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#settings-tag-options), and [interaction options](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#settings-learner-interaction-options) that are available to learners. For example, you can configure the course catalog so that it only includes courses with the Products tag.

To add a course catalog page to a dashboard set:

1. [Add a page](/v1/docs/adding-a-page) to one of your categories.
2. From the Add/Edit Category Page workscreen:
  1. Expand the Main Settings accordion.
  2. From the [**Type** list](/v1/docs/page-main#type), select *Course*.
  3. Expand the Configuration accordion.
  4. For the [**Include Course States** setting](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages#include-course-states), be sure that *Catalog* is checked.
  5. Click **Save**.

The above settings are what is required to display courses that allow for self-enrollment. Refer to [Page: Configuration for Course Pages](/v1/docs/page-configuration-for-course-pages) for details on the other available configuration settings.
