# Adding a Gameshow Activity

To add a Gameshow activity:

1. View your course's content in the [Course Builder Dashboard](/v1/docs/course-builder-dashboard).
2. From the task list in the left pane, select the [chapter](/v1/docs/chapters) where you want to add the Gameshow activity.
3. Click the arrow beside **Activity**.
4. Select **Gameshow**.

You can also right-click on the chapter in the left pane, select **Activity**, then select **Gameshow**.

A new Activity tab displays the Gameshow workscreen.

1. By default, new activities will be named *Activity*. Rename the task by doing the following:

2. Enter the new name.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Click **Save**.

1. Specify the gameshow activity settings in the following accordions:

If you don't see the settings for the task, be sure the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/Gear%2020210810.png) button at the top of the workscreen is enabled. Depending on your screen size, the settings will display either on the right or at the bottom of the workscreen.

To preview a gameshow activity, click **Save.** Next, [preview the course from the Courses Dashboard and launch the gameshow from the task list](/v1/docs/previewing-an-online-course).

1. Click **Save**.

## Content

When you add a new gameshow activity, an activity group and question and answer set will be automatically added for you. You can replace the default text that is included with your content. To add activity groups or question and answer sets to the gameshow activity, click the buttons located at the bottom of the accordion.

The following settings are located in the Content accordion of the Gameshow workscreen.

### Activity Group Settings

#### Title

The name of the gameshow activity that displays on the screen where learners select their avatar.

#### Minimum Score to Win

The minimum number of points learners must earn to win the gameshow.

### Question and Answer Set

#### Question

The question you want to ask learners.

#### **Include an Image for This Question**

Check to include an image with the question.

#### Question Score Value

The number of points learners earn if they answer the question correctly.

#### Correct Answer

The correct answer option for the [question](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity#question).

#### Incorrect Answer

The incorrect answer option for the [question](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity#question).

- You can remove an activity group or question and answer set by clicking the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/Trashcan%2020210810.png)icon.
- Removing an activity group will also remove all question and answer sets in the group.

## Design Settings

The following settings are located in the Design accordion of the Gameshow workscreen.

### Background Pattern

Select the pattern for the activity's background.

### Color

Select the color for the activity's background.

### Font Settings

For each of the following text elements, you can select the font family, font color, font size, and whether the text displays in bold.

| **Button Text** | The font settings for the buttons in the activity. |
| **Question Text** | The font settings for the [question](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity#question). |
| **Title Text** | The font settings for the [title](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity#title). |
| **Option Text** | The font settings for the [correct answer](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity#correct-answer) and [incorrect answer](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity#incorrect-answer). |
| **Score Value Text** | The font settings for the [question score values](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity#question-score-value). |
