# Adding a Session

## Who Has Access

The following users can add sessions from the Courses Dashboard:

- Users with the [Group Manager](/v1/docs/group-permission-group-manager-gm) or [Create Course](/v1/docs/group-permission-create-course-cc) group permission.
- [Course managers](/v1/docs/course-course-managers).
- [Administrators or owners](/v1/docs/user-profile-information#access-level).

## Adding a Session

To add an instructor-led session:

1. From the Admin menu, select **Course Admin**.
2. Select **Courses**. The [Courses Dashboard](/v1/docs/courses-dashboard) displays.
3. Do one of the following:

- Click **ILT Session**.

- From the Sessions accordion of the Course Info workscreen, click **Session**.

The Session Information workscreen displays.

1. Specify the session's settings in the following accordions:

- [Main](/v1/docs/instructor-led-session-main)
- [Post-Course Evaluations](/v1/docs/instructor-led-session-post-course-evaluations)
- [Session Details](/v1/docs/instructor-led-session-session-details)

1. Click **Save**. The Notification Options window displays.

1. Specify the [notification options for the new session](/v1/docs/instructor-led-session-notification-options).
2. Click **Save**.
