# Adding an Online Course Chapter

To add a chapter to your online course:

1. From the [Course Builder Dashboard](/v1/docs/course-builder-dashboard), click **Chapter**.

1. By default, the chapter will be named *Chapter*. Change the chapter name by doing the following:

1. Click the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/Pencil%2020210810.png) beside the name.
2. Enter the new name.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Click **Save**.

The new chapter displays in the left pane of the Course Builder Dashboard.
