# Copying an Email Snippet

Copying a snippet enables you to save an existing snippet with a different name. This is useful for situations when you want to clone a snippet and make minimal changes to it.

There are two options for copying a snippet.

## Option 1

1. From the Admin menu, select **Account Admin**
2. Select **Email Management**. The [Email Management Dashboard](/v1/docs/email-management-dashboard) displays.
3. [View the snippets by name](/v1/docs/viewing-email-snippets#viewing-snippets-by-name) or [language](/v1/docs/viewing-email-snippets#viewing-snippets-by-language).
4. Click the snippet you would like to copy.
5. Click **Copy**.

A new tab displays the Add/Edit Email Snippet workscreen with a copy of the snippet.

1. Edit the snippet's settings as needed. Information about the various accordions can be found on the pages below:

- [Content](/v1/docs/email-snippet-content)

1. Click **Save**.

## Option 2

1. From the Admin menu, select **Account Admin**
2. Select **Email Management**. The [Email Management Dashboard](/v1/docs/email-management-dashboard) displays.
3. Page through the grid to display the Snippet email type.
4. Click the number in the Total Templates for the Snippet email type.

1. Click the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/copying-an-email-snippet-image-gyic9qpw.png) for the snippet you would like to copy.

A new tab displays the Add/Edit Email Snippet workscreen with a copy of the snippet.
