This content consists of one or more [chapters](/v1/docs/chapters) (i.e., containers used for organization) that contain [tasks](/v1/docs/tasks) learners must complete when they take the course. [YouTube video player](https://www.youtube.com/embed/83rHeENpKFk?si=g7pbQeM36weA-BgL) ## Who Has Access The following users have access to the Course Builder Dashboard: - Users with the [Group Manager](/v1/docs/group-permission-group-manager-gm) or [Create Course](/v1/docs/group-permission-create-course-cc) group permission if they add an online course. Users with these permissions will automatically be a [course manager](/v1/docs/course-course-managers) for any course that they add. - [Course managers](/v1/docs/course-course-managers). - [Administrators and owners](/v1/docs/user-profile-information#access-level). ## Viewing the Course Builder Dashboard > [!NOTE] > Before You Begin > > The steps below assume that you have [added the online course](/v1/docs/adding-an-online-course) to SmarterU. To view the Course Builder Dashboard: 1. From the Admin menu, select **Course Admin.** 2. Select **Courses**. The [Courses Dashboard](/v1/docs/courses-dashboard) displays. 3. Click the course name you would like to edit. A tab labeled with the selected course's name displays in the right pane. 4. Expand the **Edit** list. 5. The Dashboard tab displays a summary of your course's content at the top. ![Summaries 20210827](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/Summaries%2020210827.png) The summary includes: - Total number of active chapters in the course - Total number of active content slides in the course - Total number of active PDFs in the course - Total number of active videos in the course - Total number of active activities in the course - Total number of active cards in the course - Total number of active quizzes in the course - Total number of active questions in the course - Total number of active tasks in the course The right pane also displays all of the course's active tasks in a [grid](/v1/docs/course-builder-dashboard#columns-in-the-grid). Refer to [Viewing Cards](/v1/docs/viewing-cards) and [Viewing Quiz Questions](/v1/docs/viewing-quiz-questions) for details. - You can search the contents of the grid. Refer to [Searching the Course Builder Dashboard's Grid](/v1/docs/searching-the-course-builder-dashboards-grid) for details. | Column | Description | | --- | --- | | **Chapter** | The chapter that contains the task. | | **Task** | The task's name. | | **Type** | The task type. | | **Subtype** | If the task's type is *Activity*, the type of activity.
