# Discussion Forum: Main

In order to use this feature, be sure to enable [discussions](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/account-settings#enable-discussions) for your account. 

These discussion forum settings are located in the Main accordion of the Add/Edit Discussion Forum workscreen.

## Settings

### Name

The name of the discussion forum. This is visible to anyone who has access to the discussion forum.

### Status

Indicates whether the discussion forum is accessible to users:

• Active - Authorized users will be able view and access the discussion forum.

• Inactive - Users will not be able to view or access the discussion forum.

### Description

A description of the discussion forum. This is visible to anyone who has access to the discussion forum.
