# Downloading Knowledge Base Items

To download an [article](/v1/docs/knowledge-bases-articles) or [file](/v1/docs/knowledge-bases-files) from a knowledge base:

1. From the Admin menu, select **Knowledge Base**.
2. Select the knowledge base containing the article you would like to edit.
3. [View the article or file](/v1/docs/viewing-articles-and-files).
4. If you are downloading an article, click **PDF**.

If you are downloading a file, click **Download File**.

1. Navigate to the location where you would like to save the file.
2. Click **Save**.
