# Duplicating an Online Course Task

Duplicating a course task makes an identical copy of the selected task in the same chapter. The following tasks can be duplicated:

- [Content slides](/v1/docs/adding-a-content-slide)
- [Flashcard activities and their cards](/v1/docs/adding-a-flashcard-activity)
- [Fill-in-the-blank activities](/v1/docs/adding-a-fill-in-the-blank-activity)
- [Gameshow activities](/v1/docs/adding-a-gameshow-activity)
- [Labeling activities](/v1/docs/adding-a-labeling-activity)
- [Matching activities](/v1/docs/adding-a-matching-activity)
- [MultiChoice activitites](/v1/docs/adding-a-multichoice-activity)
- [PDFs](/v1/docs/adding-a-pdf)
- [Videos](/v1/docs/adding-a-video)

[Quiz tasks](/v1/docs/adding-a-quiz) and [quiz questions](/v1/docs/adding-a-quiz-question) cannot be duplicated.

To duplicate a task:

1. [View the Course Builder Dashboard](/v1/docs/course-builder-dashboard#viewing-the-course-builder-dashboard).
2. From the left pane, right-click the task you want to copy.
3. Select **Duplicate**.

A copy of the selected task is added to the same chapter. The copy will be named *Copy of <TaskName>;* you should [rename the task](/v1/docs/renaming-a-chapter-or-task). You can also [move the task](/v1/docs/moving-chapters-and-tasks) to a different position within the course.
