# Editing a Group

## Who Has Access

The following users have access to edit groups:

- Users who have the [Group Manager](/v1/docs/group-permission-group-manager-gm), [Manage Group Users](/v1/docs/group-permission-manage-group-users-mgu), and [Manage Group Courses](/v1/docs/group-permission-manage-group-courses-mgc) group permission. Refer to [Group Permissions](/v1/docs/group-permissions-1) for details on the settings that users with each group permission can edit.
- [Administrators and owners](/v1/docs/user-profile-information#access-level).

## Editing a Group

To edit an existing group:

1. From the Admin menu, select **Account Admin**.
2. Select **Groups**. The [Groups Dashboard](/v1/docs/groups-dashboard) displays.
3. From the right pane of the Groups Dashboard, click the name of the group you would like to edit. A tab displays in the right pane with the selected group's information.
4. Click **Edit**.

1. Edit the group's settings as needed. Information about the various accordions can be found on the pages below:

1. Click **Save**.
