# Editing a License Type

In order to use this feature, be sure to enable [licensing](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/account-settings#enable-licensing) for your account.

To edit an area:

1. From the Admin menu, select **Account Admin**.
2. Select **Licensing**. The [Licensing Dashboard](/v1/docs/licensing-dashboard) displays.
3. From the list, select **License Types**.

1. Select the license type you would like to edit.
2. Edit the [license type's settings](/v1/docs/adding-a-license-type#settings) as needed.
3. Click **Save**.
