# External Storefront: Main

In order to use this feature, be sure to enable [eCommerce](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/account-settings#ecommerce) for your account.

These external storefront settings are located in the Main accordion of the Add/Edit External Storefront workscreen.

## Settings

### Name (required)

The name of the storefront.

### Status (required)

Select the status of the storefront:

- Active - storefront purchases will be processed.
- Inactive - storefront purchases will not be processed.

### Type

Select the storefront type:

- External - enables you to integrate your SmarterU storefront with a third-party eCommerce site.
- Internal - enables your learners to [purchase courses from within SmarterU's learner interface](/v1/docs/selling-courses-from-smarteru).
