# Group Permission: Manage Group Courses (MGC)

You can assign [group permissions](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/user-group-permissions) or [account permissions](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/user-account-permissions) to a user by [editing their user profile](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/editing-a-user-manually).

The functions available to users with the Manage Group Courses group permission are detailed below.

## Group Admin

### Groups Dashboard

Users with the MGC group permission can do the following from the [Groups Dashboard](/v1/docs/groups-dashboard):

- [Assign courses to the group](/v1/docs/group-courses) if they have another permission that would allow them to view courses for other groups.
- [Unassign courses from the group](/v1/docs/group-courses#removing-courses-from-a-group).
- [Assign subscriptions to the group](/v1/docs/group-subscriptions#adding-subscriptions-to-a-group).
- [Unassign subscriptions from the group](/v1/docs/group-subscriptions#removing-subscriptions-from-a-group).
