# Knowledge Bases

The Knowledge Base is a repository within SmarterU that enables you to store information that is separate from courses. Within a knowledge base you can create and view articles or files. These [articles](https://support.smarteru.com//v1/docs/knowledge-bases-articles) and [files](https://support.smarteru.com//v1/docs/knowledge-bases-files) can be organized in [folders](https://support.smarteru.com//v1/docs/knowledge-bases-folders).
