# Learner Interface: Changing the Theme

A theme is a [pre-defined set of colors](/v1/docs/themes-predefined) that are applied to the learner interface. The default theme for your learner interface is based on the [theme selected for your assigned dashboard set](/v1/docs/dashboard-set-main#default-theme).

## **Changing the Theme**

- The ability to change your theme is dependent on your [dashboard set's setting](/v1/docs/dashboard-set-main#theme-visible).
- Changing the theme only applies to your current log in session. The learner interface will use your [dashboard set's default theme](/v1/docs/dashboard-set-main#default-theme) the next time you log in.

To change the theme for your learner interface:

1. Click the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/learner-interface---changing-the-theme-image-229vm0no.png) that's displayed in the upper right corner beside your profile picture and name.
2. Select **Theme**.
3. Select the theme you would like to use.
