# Learner Interface: External Course Submissions

Because the learner-side interface is highly customizable, some of the functions mentioned below may either differ or not be available for your account.

External course submission pages display a form that enables you to record [courses and training that you've taken outside of your organization](https://support.smarteru.com//v1/docs/courses-external). By default, you'll need to enter the course's name, description, start date, end date, and course duration (in minutes and hours).

Depending on how your account is configured, you may be asked to provide additional information, or enter the number of points that you earned.
