# Learning Plans and Certifications

[Learning plans](/v1/docs/learning-plans) provide a way to deliver a series of courses to your users. When a [learning plan is assigned to a user](/v1/docs/assigning-learning-plans-to-a-user), SmarterU also assigns the learning plan's [certifications](/v1/docs/certifications) and [requirements](/v1/docs/requirements) (i.e., actions and courses) to the user.
