# Message Center:  Editing a Discussion Comment

You may only edit comments that you've [added](/v1/docs/message-center-adding-a-discussion-comment).

To edit a comment that you added to a discussion:

1. View the discussion forum from either the [Message Center](/v1/docs/message-center-viewing-discussion-comments) or the [course details page](/v1/docs/learner-interface-about-course-discussions).
2. Click the **Edit** link that is below the comment you would like to edit.
3. Click the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/message-center---editing-a-discussion-comment-image-ulfmahjf.png) beside the comment.
