# Publishing a SCORM Course from iSpring

SmarterU enables you to import a SCORM course created from software such as iSpring. Before you can [add the SCORM course](/v1/docs/adding-a-scorm-course), you will need to publish the course from iSpring. Refer to iSpring's site for [information on publishing a SCORM course](https://www.ispringsolutions.com/blog/scorm-course).

- If you are using Spring 11, be sure to publish the course using xAPI; otherwise, use SCORM 2004.
- Refer to [SmarterU File Uploads](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/smarteru-file-uploads-1#scorm-package) for file specifications.

After publishing the course from iSpring, you can [upload the resulting ZIP file to your SmarterU SCORM course](/v1/docs/scorm-course-main#scorm-package).
