# Re-ordering Categories

[Categories that have been added](/v1/docs/adding-a-category) to a dashboard set in the Add/Edit Dashboard Set workscreen display in the same order on the [learner interface](/v1/docs/learner-interface).

To change the order of the categories:

1. [Edit the dashboard set](/v1/docs/editing-a-dashboard-set) containing the categories.
2. Expand the Categories accordion.
3. Click the ![Reorder](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/re-ordering-categories-image-qiu8536g.png) beside the category and drag the category to the desired position.
4. Click **Save**.

[Inactive categories](/v1/docs/category-main#status) are included on the Add/Edit Dashboard Set workscreen, but will not be displayed on the learner interface.
