# Sessions

A session is a specific occurrence of an [instructor-led course](/v1/docs/courses-instructor-led). Each instructor-led course can have one or more sessions. A session inherits the [settings of the course](/v1/docs/settings-instructor-led-course), but each is a specific instance of the course.
