# SmarterU Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hosting

SmarterU uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting service. AWS increases our ability to scale to our clients' needs quicker, while still maintaining a fast and secure cloud platform that's accessible at any time from any internet-connected device.

## **IP Addresses**

|  | **IP Address** | **What You Need to Do** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **CNAME Sites** | 35.182.169.146 | If you [set up your SmarterU account to be accessed from another domain](/v1/docs/account-portals#cname), and have used an A record that points to our IP address, be sure that your A record uses this IP address. |
| **Custom SSL Sites** | 35.182.194.252 | If you use a custom SSL certificate, be sure your DNS A record uses this IP address. |
| **SmarterU** | 35.182.193.242 35.182.169.146 35.182.194.252 | If you operate from a secure environment that requires [firewall rules](https://help.smarteru.com/firewall-rules$top_of_page) to be established to allow access to external web applications, allow traffic to these IP addresses. |
| **SCORM** | 35.182.2.183 | If you operate from a secure environment that requires [firewall rules](https://help.smarteru.com/firewall-rules$top_of_page) to be established to allow access to external web applications, and deliver [SCORM courses](https://help.smarteru.com/about-scorm-courses$top_of_page), allow traffic to this IP address. |
