# Supervisor Access

The [account's **Supervisor Access** setting](/v1/docs/account-settings#supervisor-access) has four options:

- [Report on Supervisees](/v1/docs/supervisor-access#report-on-supervisees)
- [Enroll Supervisees](/v1/docs/supervisor-access#enroll-supervisees)
- [View Supervisees](/v1/docs/supervisor-access#view-supervisees)
- [Edit Supervisees](/v1/docs/supervisor-access#edit-supervisees)

These options are described in more detail below.

- If you do not enable any of the options above, supervisors will not have access to the Admin Interface.
- Enabling these access options gives all supervisors in your account access to perform the functions described below. If you only want to allow specific supervisors access to perform certain functions, you should [edit their user profile](/v1/docs/editing-a-user-manually) and grant them the necessary [group](/v1/docs/group-permissions-1) or [account permissions](/v1/docs/account-permissions).

## Report on Supervisees

The [account's **Supervisor Access** setting's *Report on Supervisees* option](/v1/docs/account-settings#supervisor-access) allows supervisors to view the enrollments for their supervisees, regardless of whether the supervisor has other reporting permissions (i.e., the [Group Manager](/v1/docs/group-permission-group-manager-gm) or [View Learner Results](/v1/docs/group-permission-view-learner-results-vlr) group permission). This is helpful when you want to allow supervisors to view their supervisees' enrollments, but don't necessarily want to grant them reporting permissions on each of the groups that their supervisees belong to. Remember that granting reporting permissions for a group allows the supervisor to view enrollments for everyone in the group — not just users they supervise.

The *Report on Supervisees* option gives supervisors access to the following dashboards and workscreens. Unless the supervisor has other permissions or access roles, the dashboards and workscreens below will only include information for their supervisees.

| Certifications Dashboard | - [View the summary of actions and certifications by status.](/v1/docs/certifications-dashboard) The counts in the summaries will only include their supervisees. - View the details for their supervisees' certifications. |
| Certifications Management Workscreen | - View actions assigned to their supervisees. - [Review, confirm, or reject actions.](/v1/docs/reviewing-confirming-and-rejecting-actions) - The Learner list on the Certifications Management workscreen will only include their supervisees. Other lists on the workscreen will only include data associated with their supervisees. For example, the Certification list will only include certifications associated with learning plans assigned to their supervisees. |

### Report Admin

When the *Report on Supervisees* option is enabled and the [account's **Send Automated Weekly** email setting](/v1/docs/account-email-options#send-automated-weekly-emails) is checked, the [account's selected Weekly Summary Report email](/v1/docs/system-email-templates-weekly-emails#weekly-summary-report) will be sent to supervisors.

## Enroll Supervisees

The [account's **Supervisor Access** setting's *Enroll Supervisees* option](/v1/docs/account-settings#supervisor-access) allows supervisors to enroll learners, regardless of whether the supervisor has other group permissions.

The *Enroll Supervisees* option gives supervisors access to the following dashboards and workscreens. Unless the supervisor has other permissions or access roles, the dashboards and workscreens below will only include information for their supervisees.

### User Admin

| Manual Enrollment Workscreen | - [Enroll supervisees into courses and subscriptions.](/v1/docs/enrolling-users) A supervisor will only be able to enroll a supervisee into a course via the supervisee's home group. In order to process the enrollment, the course must be assigned to the supervisee's home group. - The available courses and subscriptions includes those that are assigned to at least one of their supervisees' home groups. |

| Webinar Registrations Workscreen | - View the webinar registrations for supervisees. |

## View Supervisees

The [account's **Supervisor Access** setting's *View Supervisees* option](/v1/docs/account-settings#supervisor-access) enables supervisors to view their supervisees' information.

The *View Supervisees* option gives supervisors access to the following dashboards and workscreens. Unless the supervisor has other permissions or access roles, the dashboards and workscreens below will only include information for their supervisees.

### User Admin

## **Edit Supervisees**

The [account's **Supervisor Access** setting's Edit *Supervisees* option](/v1/docs/account-settings#supervisor-access) enables supervisors to edit their supervisees' information.

Enabling the *Edit Supervisees* option automatically enables the [*View Supervisees* option](/v1/docs/supervisor-access#view-supervisees).

The *Edit Supervisees* option gives supervisors access to the following dashboards and workscreens. Unless the supervisor has other permissions or access roles, the dashboards and workscreens below will only include information for their supervisees.

### **User Admin**
