# Unenrolling Users from Courses

## Who Has Access

The following users can unenroll users from a course from the Users Dashboard:

- Users with the [Group Manager](/v1/docs/group-permission-group-manager-gm) or [Manage Group Users](/v1/docs/group-permission-manage-group-users-mgu) group permission.
- Supervisors, if the [account's **Supervisor Access** setting's *Enroll Supervisees* and *Edit Supervisees* options](/v1/docs/account-settings#supervisor-access) are both enabled.
- [Administrators or owners](/v1/docs/user-profile-information#access-level).

## Unenrolling Users from the Users Dashboard

> [!NOTE]
> - If you are unenrolling yourself from a course, you may do so from the [Learner Interface](/v1/docs/course-details-page). You may also use the [Enrollment Report](/v1/docs/enrollment-report-unenrolling-learners) to unenroll other users from courses.
> - You cannot unenroll users from courses that they have already completed.

> [!WARNING]
> You cannot unenroll users from a course if the course’s **Auto Enroll** setting is enabled for a [group](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/group-courses#automation), [variant](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/variant-courses#automation-enrollment), or [requirement](https://support.smarteru.com/docs/editing-a-blocks-courses#automation-enrollment).

To unenroll a user from a course from the Users Dashboard:

1. From the Admin menu, select **User Admin**.
2. Select **Users**. The [Users Dashboard](/v1/docs/users-dashboard) displays.
3. [View the details of the user](/v1/docs/viewing-a-users-details) you would like to unenroll from a course.
4. Expand the Course Enrollments accordion.
5. Click the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/unenrolling-users-from-courses-image-14znkwgo.png) beside the course you would like to unenroll the user from.

A confirmation message displays.

1. Click **OK** to unenroll the user from the course.
