# Viewing Inactive Records

Inactive records are related to any object (e.g. [course](/v1/docs/courses), [group](/v1/docs/groups), [learning plan](/v1/docs/learning-plans), [user](/v1/docs/users), etc...) that has its status set to *Inactive*.

In order to preserve the history of any actions or records, SmarterU does not allow you to delete records.

In general, you can view inactive records by clicking the ![Ícone Descrição gerada automaticamente](https://cdn.document360.io/7efaadab-fef6-4186-806a-2ca14c9ce9ea/Images/Documentation/viewing-inactive-records-image-xqd12w1l.png) in the left pane of the dashboard and selecting *Inactive:*
