SmarterU is a SaaS (Software as a Service) application, which is provided as a hosted application.
Security is of paramount importance. Many SmarterU clients build courses containing confidential information on internal policies, procedures and other topics which are highly confidential.
SmarterU provides the following levels and layers of security, which is designed to work together to keep your information secure, and to prevent unauthorized access:
- Servers are located in a secure, world class data center, which provides a physically secure environment including keycard protocols, biometric scanning protocols, around-the-clock interior and exterior surveillance monitoring.
- A stateful-inspection firewall filters all server access, and blocks all non-essential ports.
- Server access through an encrypted connection is only available to key SmarterU team members, which have all signed confidentiality agreements.
- Security patches are installed periodically, based on security implications and urgency.
- Network security scans are run periodically, searching for potential vulnerabilities.
- All data is backed up at least once per day and retained off-server.
