Online courses contain of one or more chapters that contain tasks. Chapters provide a way to organize your course content.

For example, you may want to create a chapter for each section in your course. In a new employee training course, your chapters may correspond with the different topics in your course such as company history, company organization, policies, and benefits.

In the Course Builder Dashboard's list of tasks, chapters display a  icon beside them.

Learners will progress through the chapters in your course in the same order that the chapters are listed.

  • Each course must have at least one chapter.
  • When you create a new course, a new chapter will be automatically added for you.
