User Sync Integrations

User sync integration refers to the automatic updating, provisioning, or de-provisioning of user accounts from an external system (e.g., Active Directory, HRIS, Intranet, ERP, etc.) to SmarterU.
For example, when a new employee is added to a HRIS system, then a user record is automatically created in SmarterU either in “real time” or by daily batch.
The specifics of the integration is based on the capabilities of the source system. For instance, with ADFS, user sync can be accomplished through Microsoft FIM or IM which can notify SmarterU when a user is added, or modified in the Active Directory (or Azure) tree. With SAML, you can check the Enable Just-in-Time User Creation setting for your account.
Related to the user sync, you may be interested in establishing a Single Sign On (SSO) from your third party system. This is a separate process from the user synchronization.
