Home Group Reporting

The home group reporting functionality enables users who have reporting permissions (i.e., either the GM or VLR group permission) to view all enrollments for the group users whose home group is the same as the one where they have reporting permission.

For example, Neal has reporting permissions on the Distribution group and the Manufacturing group.

When home group reporting is disabled, Neal runs the Enrollment Report (customized to include the enrollment group) and only sees enrollments that occurred in the groups where he has reporting permissions (i.e., Distribution and Manufacturing).

When home group reporting is enabled, the Enrollment Report includes all enrollments for those users whose home group is one where Neal has reporting permissions, regardless of what group the enrollments occurred under. In the example below, several users who are users in one of the groups where Neal has reporting permission are enrolled in courses under the Human Resources group. Those enrollments are highlighted in yellow.

When home group reporting is enabled, Neal will see all enrollments for a user when both of the following are true:

  • The user belongs to a group where Neal has reporting permissions.
  • The group where Neal has reporting permissions is the user's home group.

Enabling home group reporting also affects the summary numbers displayed above the grid.

Enabling Home Group Reporting
